The CMS PTG grants program exists to support CMS faculty & staff in their efforts to enrich and broaden the educational experience of all CMS students. A successful ‘24-’25 application will be:
- Student-focused
- Meaningful, substantial or rewarding for the student experience
- Consistent with CMS goals
- Fiscally responsible
- Not funded via another source
Grants are an opportunity for you to try something new, to branch out, experiment, or expand a successful concept. We encourages faculty & staff to apply for funds to pilot new and creative initiatives. Pilot projects are eligible for an initial request and can then apply in a future grant cycle for more funding if the pilot is successful. Our goal is to fund as many different teachers, departments, and new ideas as possible.
Things to remember
The CMS PTG cannot be a recurring funding source—we can be the seed money for something new, and/or help expand a successful initiative, but if your project requires recurring funding, you will need to seek this through the regular budgetary process. CMS PTG grants do not fund furniture, uniforms, salaries, or professional development.
The deadline to apply for a 24-25 grant is May 1, 2025. All grant reimbursements must be requested in the CMS PTG fiscal year in which they are awarded. For the 24-25 fiscal year, reimbursement may be requested no later than June 1, 2025.
